Walla Communications, together with Horizon by Altshuler Shaham, has launched “Walla Crypto,” a new automated platform for buying and selling digital assets that targets first-time and experienced Israeli investors with a Hebrew interface and introductory incentives.

The companies say the rollout answers rising demand for retail crypto trading in Israel and abroad. At launch, the platform supports seven tokens — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Avalanche, Litecoin, Solana, Cardano and Ripple — and is accompanied by a marketing campaign of about NIS 3 million. The first 500 customers who complete a trade will receive zero percent purchase fees during the first month. Registration includes a simplified, faster flow for customers depositing up to NIS 5,000 over six months.

The operating partner, Horizon Digital Assets, is a licensed financial-asset service provider supervised by Israel’s Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Authority. Horizon lists license No. 57767 and notes it works with regulated exchanges and Israel’s banking system. The trading front end and integration were developed by fintech firm PIQK, which builds embedded investment platforms for publishers and consumer brands.

“Walla continues to create innovative business initiatives that expand our work as a content and technology house. ‘Walla Crypto’ demonstrates our commitment to delivering real added value for users, this time by enabling a smart, accessible and secure entry into digital investing,” said Walla CEO Gidon Ozen.

Ideal for Israeli investors

“As a fintech innovator, we built a modular investments platform that brands can deploy quickly. With a range of assets, real-time data and risk-management tools, we are proud to launch in Israel and offer an accessible and secure investment experience,” said PIQK co-founder and CPO Yael Almor-Lion.

“We are proud to unveil this joint venture with Walla and PIQK, which will open convenient, advanced and secure access to trading a wide range of digital currencies for the public,” said Horizon CEO Ilan Sterk, adding that the new system “sets a new bar for user experience.”

Walla says it will also publish dedicated crypto content hubs to guide beginners and more advanced users. The platform and its widgets are hosted on crypto.walla.co.il.
