IDF strikes Hamas in Gaza's Zeitoun neighbourhood
The IDF also performed attacks over the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City on Friday in response to Hamas ceasefire violations.
A structure used by Hamas to manufacture weapons, as well as a weapons storage facility, was among the targets struck by the military.
Earlier in the day, IDF Arabic spokesperson Avihai Adree issued an urgent warning on X/Twitter Friday afternoon, urging residents of Zeitoun to evacuate in preparation for the attack.
The tweet included an aerial view image of the area at the intersection of Umm al-Mun and al-Ma’amdani al-Bariya streets. Adree urged residents in the marked area to evacuate at least 100 meters away.
The IDF later said it had identified several terrorists crossing the Yellow Line and approaching soldiers in the Northern Gaza Strip.
The troops fired towards the terrorists, killing one of them.
