The IDF killed two terrorists, arrested another 40 people suspected of engaging in terrorism and arms trafficking, and confiscated smuggled firearms during a counterterrorism operation in the West Bank, the military said on Friday.
The Binyamin Brigade arrested five suspects in the village of Silwad, near Ramallah, for inciting terrorism and supporting Hamas in a local parade two weeks ago. The brigade also arrested two terrorists involved in manufacturing and operating explosive devices.
Twenty-one additional individuals on a wanted list were arrested by the Ephraim, Menashe, and Shomron Brigades. Two M-16 rifles and a shotgun were confiscated during the proceedings.

In addition, the Judea Brigade carried out a unit-wide operation in Hebron.
The IDF’s Etzion Brigade arrested another 10 terrorists, including two who threw stones at soldiers, and another who threw Molotov cocktails at Israeli civilians.
All those arrested, as well as the confiscated weapons, were transferred to the Israel Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) for further processing.
