United Hatzalah volunteer medics accompanied Bar Kuperstein and his two brothers to Ben-Gurion Airport on their way to the United States for a meeting with US President Donald Trump.

United Hatzalah volunteers Alon Agai, Netanel Sameria, and Avraham Rani escorted the Kuperstein brothers to the airport, offering support and well-wishes as the siblings began their journey.

As Bar paused before boarding, he reflected on the powerful image of the yellow ribbon for the hostages illuminated on the airport’s control tower.

“This symbol is very emotional for me,” Bar said. “I’ve seen it all over the place, wherever I go, and it signifies to me that we were never forgotten.”

United Hatzalah’s administration and volunteers have stood by the Kuperstein family throughout their long and painful ordeal.

The medics who accompanied Bar expressed deep pride in what he and his brothers were going to do. “Bar, along with the other heroes of October 7, are symbols of our nation’s spirit and resilience, and the world needs to know what they endured while being held captive in Gaza,” Agai said.

United Hatzalah is committed to supporting the Kuperstein family and has recently launched Charidy, a fundraising campaign to provide much-needed financial assistance. Bar’s father, Tal Kuperstein, was a United Hatzalah medic who was injured several years ago while responding to a medical emergency.

The incident left him paralyzed and wheelchair-bound, placing his family in a difficult financial situation. Bar, then a teenager, took it upon himself to help support his loved ones. On October 7, he worked as a security guard at the Nova music festival to help support his family. On that horrific day, Bar helped dozens of concertgoers escape before he was captured and taken hostage by Hamas terrorists.

This campaign will give the Kuperstein family the critical peace of mind and security they need as they move forward on their collective road to recovery following Bar’s release from Gaza.
