Two east Jerusalem residents were arrested on suspicion of attempting to kidnap a man near the Qalandiya checkpoint, Israel Police announced on Sunday.

The men were arrested following a report that they had attacked a man, dragged him into their vehicle, and driven away.

The vehicle was located, with the two suspects inside, and the victim, who was found in the back seat, has been evacuated to the hospital for further medical treatment due to severe facial injuries.

The two suspects were arrested and transferred for investigation, and the court extended their detention until November 19.

This is a developing story.
