An indictment was filed against eight minors for the lynching a 16-year-old in a park in Herzliya, the Bat Yam Juvenile Court decided on Thursday, following a police investigation into the incident.
The lynching happened on November 2, involving eight minors, aged 14 to 16, who met with the victim at a Herzliya park and proceeded to attack him upon arrival.
Security footage showed the perpertrators surrounding the victim punching and kicking him even when he was lying on the floor, unable to defend himself.
The suspects were placed under house arrest until the end of the legal proceedings. The indictment established that they engaged in a “violent and deliberate group attack.”
The court also pointed out how the group decided to leave the wounded victim, who was later hospitalized, behind.
