A man was attacked on Friday by a group of haredi (ultra-Orthodox) protesters while passing their demonstration in front of a Jerusalem police station, according to Ynet.
The secular man, uninvolved in the protest, was pushed to the ground and suffered a head wound, Ynet reported.
According to Ynet, dozens of haredim are protesting at the Lev HaBira Police Station in Jerusalem over the arrest of suspects who rioted at the home of Supreme Court Deputy President Justice Noam Sohlberg on Wednesday.
During the riots, rioters tried to open the main entrance doors, according to a Walla report, noting that police are trying to repel the rioters and disperse the crowd.
Walla further reported that an additional protest is taking place in Beit Shemesh, where haredi rioters are throwing stones and objects at police officers.
Over 60 rioters arrested outside Sohlberg's home
Over 60 extremist haredi rioters were arrested earlier this week after causing significant property damage to Sohlberg's home, smashing windows and damaging his car.
Several rioters attempted to break into Sohlberg's house before attempting to flee the scene.
In a separate incident, eight haredi rioters were arrested on Monday after breaking into a Beit Shemesh police station after the arrest of an alleged draft dodger, Israel Police said.
According to Israeli media, several rioters successfully broke into the compound, with police adding that other rioters had attempted to "block traffic by throwing stones on Route 38."
Later on Monday, Ynet reported that police had successfully dispersed the riot through the use of batons and stun grenades.
