Several former Gaza hostages visited wounded soldiers two days before this year's Independence Day - their first since being released.
Avinatan Or, Alon Ohel, and Guy Gilboa-Dalal were treated at the Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus when they were first freed from Hamas captivity.
On Monday, they returned to meet several soldiers who had been wounded in southern Lebanon during Israel's ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
Soldier's mission was to find hostages in Gaza
Four of the soldiers the hostages met were from the Yahalom unit, while a fifth was from the 890th Brigade.
"For two years, when we were reservists in Gaza, our main mission was to locate you in the tunnels," one soldier told the former hostages. "Sitting here with you now is the real victory."
