Officers from the Coordination and Liaison Directorate rescued an Israeli man who was seen wandering on Wednesday night around Kalkilya, a Palestinian city in the Palestinian Authority-administered Area A of the West Bank.

Upon receiving the report that the man was in Area A, a place considered dangerous for Israelis to be, officers quickly acted to protect and transfer him to IDF troops.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Israeli entered the city area on foot in order to locate his vehicle, which he claimed had been stolen several hours earlier.

After being found and transferred to Civil Administration officers, he was transferred to the Israel Police for further investigation.

Disabled Israeli earlier rescued from Dheisheh camp

This incident follows a similar one from about three months ago, in which Civil Administration forces rescued an Israeli citizen suffering from a physical disability who was abandoned after a fight in the heart of the Deheisha refugee camp.

The Civil Administration received a report about a physically disabled Jew who was found in the Dheisheh refugee camp in the Gush Etzion area.
