Silvia Cunio, mother of hostages Ariel and David, held a video phone call with her sons on Monday morning.
"I did not hear anything, but I saw them and it was enough for me to feel an abnormal amount of happiness," Silvia told Walla.
"They seem perfectly fine to me, I thought they would be worse," she added.
"It's impossible to describe everything I'm going through. I'm already waiting to give them the biggest hug and kiss in the world," she said.
She told news outlets that she originally did not answer the phone call due to not recognizing the number.
Hamas terrorists gave their phone to Ariel and David so that they could call their mother, Army Radio reported.
Other hostages hold phone calls with families ahead of release
Released Gaza hostage Matan spoke with his mother, Einav Zangauker, and his girlfriend, Ilana Gritzewsky, on the phone for the first time in two years shortly after Matan was released by Hamas into IDF custody on Monday morning.
Nimrod Cohen also held a phone call with his mother on Monday morning.
Additionally, hostages Elkana Bohbot, Yosef-Chaim Ohana, Bar Kupershtein, Evyatar David, Rom Braslavski, and Eitan Horn spoke with their respective families ahead of their slated release.
Meanwhile, Eitan Mor, Alon Ohel, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest were the first seven hostages transferred into IDF custody on Monday.
This is a developing story.
