The computer of October 7 victim Sivan Elkabetz was stolen from her home in Kfar Aza for the second time, her father, Shimon, announced on Monday.
Elkabetz said he learned the news during the memorial service for Sivan and her partner, Naor Hasidim.
Sivan’s parents expressed their shock at the theft, calling the incident “a vile act by heartless and conscienceless people who entered the desecrated home where a horrific massacre took place, adding sin to atrocity.”
Sivan's computer was used to screen October 7 footage
After October 7, Sivan’s parents placed their daughter’s computer in the safe room, and it continuously screened footage of the events that occurred inside the house, until it was stolen in April.
The original computer is currently in the custody of the Israel Police as investigators attempt to recover the personal files that were tampered with.
The new computer was placed in the house in its previous location, where it continued to display the footage filmed by Sivan’s mother, Anati Elkabetz.
Over the past two years, over 150,000 visitors, in Israel and globally, have visited Sivan and Naor’s home, and the location has become a symbol of the massacre in Kfar Aza.
