Two people were killed in a collision between a truck and a minibus on Highway 5 near Ramat Hasharon on Thursday.
A 40-year-old man was pronounced dead on site, while a woman who was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv was later pronounced dead by medical staff.
Three were critically injured and eight others were lightly wounded in the accident. They have been evacuated to Ichilov Hospital, Sheba Medical Center, Meir Medical Center, and Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus.
Three lanes of the highway were closed to traffic.
