Eight Israeli tourists were reportedly wounded in a traffic accident in central-southern Vietnam on Saturday night, according to Israeli media.
The incident occurred in Quảng Ngãi Province when the tour bus they were traveling in collided with an oncoming truck.
All of the tourists are in stable condition, according to PassportCard. Three of the travelers, who had medical insurance, were taken to the hospital. Those without insurance received medical treatment at the scene.
Local authorities have opened an investigation into the accident.
Previous tourist accidents in Vietnam
A tourist boat capsized in Vietnam's Halong Bay just a month earlier, leaving at least 38 people dead and several others missing.
The vessel had been carrying 48 tourists and five crew members when it overturned, making it one of the most serious boating accidents in the area in recent years.
The incident unfolded as Typhoon Wipha was approaching the region, complicating rescue efforts. Ten people were rescued, according to the Vietnamese government, which confirmed the casualties in an official statement.
