Israeli forces shot at a suspected terrorist who approached the Tamar checkpoint in a Hebron neighborhood carrying an air gun on Thursday.
The suspect is in serious condition. He was shot when he did not respond to calls to stop.
He will likely be evacuated by a military intensive-care ambulance to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
