Terror infiltration sirens sounded in Efrat in the West Bank on Sunday night, when a vehicle with a Palestinian license plate that was stolen had not stopped for inspection at the gate and had broken through, local authorities said.

Residents of the settlement were ordered to remain in their homes and were informed that security forces were dispatched and investigating the incident.

The vehicle then made a U-turn and left the settlement without dropping off any additional individuals, according to the authorities.

Home Front Command announced that the incident had concluded before it had.

Home Front Command is investigating the error.

In March, Israel Police arrested a Palestinian on suspicion that he had broken into homes in the area of Efrat in Gush Etzion dressed in a series of disguises.
