US President Trump addressed the Gaza peace plan during a press conference on Wednesday, in response to a question about when phase two would begin. Trump responded that phase two "is moving along, it's going to happen pretty soon."
"We have peace in the Middle East," Trump said, adding that there is "tremendous support" from 59 countries.
Trump also mentioned the attack that wounded four IDF soldiers in Gaza earlier on Wednesday.
RPG attack on IDF
The soldiers, members of the Golani brigade, were attacked by terrorists while on patrol in Rafah, the military said. The terrorists fired a rocket-propelled grenade before they were killed.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that the IDF would respond accordingly.
Later on Wednesday, the IDF struck targets across southern Gaza as "a response to the ceasefire violation," the army said.
