Three anti-Israel activists were arrested for vandalizing the Israeli Embassy in The Hague in a pre-dawn attack on Tuesday, according to the embassy, Hague Police, and Israel’s Foreign Ministry.

The activists poured red paint on the entrance and windows of the embassy building and smashed the glass doors, causing fractures.

The Hague Police reported that they had located the suspects in the Johan de Withlaan area, near the embassy, and conducted arrests.

While casting red paint at targets has become a popular vandalism tactic by anti-Israel activist groups, the police said that they currently had no reason to assume that an organization was involved.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry assured that all embassy employees were unharmed.

Israeli Ambassador to the Netherlands Modi Ephraim said on X/Twitter that the “cowardly act” was “yet another illustration of the dangerous consequences of rising hatred and incitement.”
