The Israeli-American Council (IAC) national headquarters in Los Angeles was vandalized over the weekend with Neo-Nazi symbols and antisemitic messages, the IAC announced on Sunday.

The SS double lightning bolts of the Nazi paramilitary Schutzstaffel were spray-painted in yellow at the entrance of the Woodland Hills building, and were accompanied by the word "burn" on the adjacent sidewalk. A cardboard snowman at the entrance of the headquarters was defaced with a swastika.

This was not the only graffiti in the area, with "F*k Jews, BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions)" scrawled on the Highway 101 freeway entrance, and additional swastikas spotted in the vicinity.

“We are appalled by this vile act of antisemitism at the doorstep of our own community and offices,” IAC CEO and former US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism Elan Carr said in a press release. “Around the world and across our country, we have seen an alarming and historic rise in antisemitism. We are working tirelessly to fight it and to ensure that history does not repeat itself. This incident will not intimidate or deter us -- on the contrary, it fuels our determination to stand even stronger against antisemitism and to protect and strengthen our community for generations to come.”

Perpetrators reportedly caught on camera

Security cameras reportedly have captured images of suspected perpetrators, and according to the IAC, local Topanga Community Police are investigating the incident. The LAPD did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The IAC headquarters, the Shepher Community Center, is also used by IAC’s LA region and as a community center for local Israeli-Americans and Jewish-Americans.

The vandalism occurred as the Los Angeles Jewish community on Sunday commemorated the 26th anniversary of the white supremacist terrorist attack on the North Valley Jewish Community Center. The terrorist shot and wounded four minors and an officer before murdering a mail carrier.
