Elbit Systems has introduced Frontier, a new artificial intelligence-powered surveillance platform designed to tackle the growing challenges of border defense. The system was presented at the DSEI 2025 defense and security exhibition in London.
Frontier autonomously detects, classifies, and assesses threats in real time across land, air, and sea. According to the company, the platform leverages advanced AI to support decision-making, ease the workload of operating teams, and enhance operational effectiveness.
The system integrates a wide array of sensors and processes large volumes of data, transmitting only the most relevant and analyzed information to operators. This, Elbit Systems said in a statement, enables faster and more accurate responses to potential threats.
“As global threats grow in complexity, intelligence units are often overwhelmed by thousands of alerts and an immense flow of data,” the company said. “Frontier was developed to meet this need, enhancing surveillance efficiency while lowering operational costs.”
Key features on the tech
Key features include adaptive learning that continuously detects anomalies, autonomous threat classification and decision-support tools that prioritize and assess risks. By consolidating sensor data into a single operational picture, the system is intended to help security forces maintain effective perimeter control.
Elbit Systems emphasized that Frontier reduces the burden on intelligence and surveillance teams while increasing mission success rates. The platform can independently confirm and classify threats, eliminating the need for operators to filter through excessive or irrelevant data.
