GB News has expanded its international presence by launching in Israel, marking another step in its global rollout this year. The British news network is now available nationwide on Cellcom TV, one of Israel’s largest television platforms, in what executives described as a milestone in the effort to take “Britain’s voice to the world.”
“This is a vital part of our mission to connect with global audiences who seek authentic, British reporting and debate,” said Angelos Frangopoulos, chief executive of GB News. “We are delighted to be bringing GB News into homes across Israel. As Britain’s news channel, we champion the values and voices of the United Kingdom.”
The Israeli launch follows the network’s recent debut across the Middle East and North Africa, where it became accessible to more than 66 million households through iKOMG’s satellite-based FASTonSAT platform.
It also comes after the introduction of “The Late Show Live”, a program broadcast from Washington, D.C., reflecting the channel’s bid to bring British-style debate and programming to international audiences.
Rami Goldberg, senior vice president of sales at iKOMG, welcomed the expansion, stating: “At iKO Media Group, we’re proud to be the one-stop partner for broadcasters looking to take their content further. From the Middle East with our FASTonSAT solution and now to Israel, this partnership demonstrates our ability to handle everything — signal aggregation, feed adaptation, secure delivery, EPG, and platform onboarding.”
GB News growth accelerates internationally
The network’s international growth has accelerated since August, when it launched across the United States and globally via the Truth+ platform. GB News is offered as part of a free basic package and is accessible worldwide through iOS and Android apps, as well as Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, Roku, and web browsers.
With its move into Israel, GB News brings its blend of live news, political debate, and opinion programming to a new audience. Executives said the expansion underscores the network’s growing influence and its commitment to delivering what it describes as “bold and fearless journalism” rooted in British values and perspectives.
